Indian benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty, ended lower on Friday after the US President Donald Trump ruled out any trade negotiations with India amid the ongoing tariff standoff.

The 30-share benchmark index ended at 79857.79 down by -765.47 points or by -0.95 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24363.3 down by -232.85 points or by -0.95 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 80550.4 and intraday low of 79775.84 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24585.5 and intraday low of 24337.5

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 334.60,+1.39%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3460.40,+1.33%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1919.20,+0.28%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 414.40,+0.19%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1858.70,-3.41%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 782.75,-3.07%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 633.30,-2.19%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1950.90,-2.08%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3146.25,-2.01%), among others.
