Indian benchmark equity markets were trading lower on Friday amid news that US President Donald Trump has ruled out any possibility of trade negotiations with New Delhi until the two countries resolve the ongoing dispute over tariffs.

At 14:25 hours, the 30-share benchmark indices were trading at 80065.92 down by -557.34 points or by -0.69 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24413.05 down by -183.1 points or by -0.74 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 80550.4 and intraday low of 79970.6 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24585.5 and intraday low of 24388.15

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 335.00,+1.52%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3465.45,+1.48%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1923.35,+0.50%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 414.60,+0.24%), State Bank of India (Rs. 806.85,+0.20%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1865.60,-3.05%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 790.70,-2.09%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 636.70,-1.67%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1960.30,-1.61%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1324.85,-1.56%), among others.
