The equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty declined in early trade on Friday on tariff worries with IT, pharma among key sectors lagging.

At 9:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 80286.54 down by -336.72 points or by -0.42 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24509.25 down by -86.9 points or by -0.35 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 80550.4 and intraday low of 80268.17 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24585.5 and intraday low of 24503.3

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 885.55,+0.77%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3431.15,+0.47%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 331.00,+0.30%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1919.00,+0.27%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 414.00,+0.10%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1874.85,-2.57%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1423.20,-1.01%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 299.10,-0.89%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1069.00,-0.73%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3189.50,-0.66%), among others.
