Benchmark equity indices Sensex and Nifty continued to trade lower on Thursday as US President Donald Trump slapped an additional 25 per cent duty -- doubling it to 50 per cent -- on Indian goods over New Delhi's continued imports of Russian oil.

At 10:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 80163.71 down by -380.28 points or by -0.47 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24483.05 down by -91.15 points or by -0.37 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 80421.84 and intraday low of 80156.41 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24542.9 and intraday low of 24460.05

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 302.25,+1.12%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 413.90,+0.46%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 285.35,+0.19%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2235.50,+0.10%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3420.00,+0.10%), among others.
