After a strong start, Indian equity benchmarks saw a broad-based rally on Friday, driven by investor relief following the U.S. statement that talks with Iran remain a possibility and a decision on supporting Israel will be made within two weeks.

Breaking a three-day losing streak, both the Sensex and Nifty ended the day higher, supported by gains across sectors.

The 30-share benchmark index ended at 82408.17 up by 1046.3 points or by 1.29 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25112.4 up by 319.15 points or by 1.29 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 82494.49 and intraday low of 81323.2 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25136.2 and intraday low of 24783.65

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1936.95,+3.27%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3182.30,+2.93%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 293.10,+2.38%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1464.65,+2.16%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2364.65,+1.97%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 12803.60,-0.02%), among others.
