Indian equity markets surged on Friday, buoyed by investor relief after the U.S. indicated that diplomatic talks with Iran remain a possibility and a decision on supporting Israel would be made within two weeks.

At 14:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 82161.65 up by 799.78 points or by 0.98 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25048.8 up by 255.55 points or by 1.03 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 82297.36 and intraday low of 81323.2 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25078.35 and intraday low of 24783.65

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3183.00,+2.95%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1929.00,+2.85%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 292.80,+2.27%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2363.90,+1.94%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1453.40,+1.38%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 12789.00,-0.13%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 899.00,-0.08%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1217.05,-0.03%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1618.15,-0.02%), among others.
