Indian benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty 50, are expected to open flat to slightly positive on May 6, taking cues from GIFT Nifty, which was trading around 24,585.50 earlier this morning.
The domestic markets are likely to reflect the weaker close on Wall Street overnight amid renewed global trade tariff concerns.
Investors will be closely watching the Services PMI Final data for April from both India and China, as well as global market trends, foreign institutional investor activity, and Q4 earnings reports from companies such as Paytm-parent One 97 Communications and HPCL.
Additionally, attention will be on the Federal Reserve’s FOMC meeting, which begins today.
On Monday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 80796.84 up by 294.85 points or by 0.37 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24461.15 up by 114.45 points or by 0.47 %.
On the global front, Most of the Asian markets shut amid holidays, with the Taiwan Weighted up 0.5 percent.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 98.60 points, or 0.24%, to 41,218.83, the S&P 500 lost 36.29 points, or 0.64%, to 5,650.38, and the Nasdaq Composite lost 133.49 points, or 0.74%, to 17,844.24.
