Equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty continued to trade higher on Monday amid sustained foreign fund inflows, a sharp drop in crude oil prices and firm trends in the US markets.
At 10:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 81000.19 up by 498.2 points or by 0.62 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24504.05 up by 157.35 points or by 0.65 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 81049.03 and intraday low of 80657.71 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24511.3 and intraday low of 24400.65
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1328.50,+4.85%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 2014.95,+2.96%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2471.00,+2.55%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 239.45,+2.22%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 309.70,+1.86%), among others.
