Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) shares dropped close to 2% on Monday after the company revealed plans to lay off approximately 12,000 employees from its global workforce this year.

On the BSE, the stock declined by 1.69% to Rs 3,081.20, while on the NSE, it fell 1.7% to Rs 3,081.60.
