The Indian rupee appreciated by 13 paise to 86.60 against the US dollar in early trading on Friday, supported by easing global crude oil prices and a weaker dollar.
On Thursday, the rupee had slipped 30 paise to close at 86.73, marking a cumulative decline of 69 paise over the previous three sessions.
At the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee opened at 86.65 and later strengthened to 86.60, registering a 13-paise gain from the previous close.
