Punjab National Bank (PNB) has extended financial assistance totaling Rs 17.02 crore under its flagship Rakshak Plus Saving Account Scheme to the families of 26 deceased defence and paramilitary personnel, as of June 11 this year.

The bank stated that this gesture underscores its continued commitment to honouring the sacrifices made by India’s brave soldiers. Among the beneficiaries were families of personnel who lost their lives in operations such as Birli Gali, reflecting the nation’s gratitude for their ultimate sacrifice.
