Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), the country’s largest carmaker, reported total sales of 180,077 units in May 2025, registering a notable year-on-year growth. This includes domestic sales of 138,690 units, sales to other OEMs of 10,168 units, and export sales of 31,219 units.

A key highlight for the month was the strong performance in exports, which rose significantly to 31,219 units in May 2025, up from 17,367 units in May 2024—reflecting robust international demand for Maruti’s models.

In the passenger vehicle (PV) segment, Maruti Suzuki sold 135,962 units, slightly down from 144,002 units in May 2024. The LCV segment, led by the Super Carry, recorded sales of 2,728 units, bringing total domestic sales including LCVs to 138,690 units.

Sales to other OEMs stood at 10,168 units, contributing to overall domestic sales of 148,858 units for the month.

Despite a slight dip in domestic passenger vehicle sales compared to last year, Maruti Suzuki’s overall performance in May 2025 was buoyed by a sharp rise in exports and consistent demand for utility vehicles. The company continues to maintain a stronghold in the Indian auto market while expanding its global footprint.
